7 days/ 6 nights Mekong Delta Motorcycle Tours

Day 1: Saigon – Long An – Ben Tre – Tra  Vinh(L/D) (150 km)
Start riding on back roads to Can Duoc belonged to Long An province. This town is known throught Vietnam as the land of jasmine rice and sticky rice. Visit Rach Cat base. If possible(French built in 1903) ride to visit an ancient house with 100 support columns. Enjoy tea and fruit with the owner of this ancient house.  Continue riding to Cho Gao, located further southwest of Saigon. Have lunch on the way, then ride through Ben Tre to Tra Vinh. Overnight in town.

Day 2: Tra Vinh - Soc Trang- Bac Lieu (B/L) (130 km)
Leave Tra Vinh for Bac Lieu today. Go through Khmer villages and rice-paddy, visit Khmer temples, then  rife to Cau Quan.  From Cau Quan, take a ferry to an island, then go through this Island to another ferry. Travel by ferry to Dai Ngai. After  you reach to further side of river, take a back road on your lelf side to Soc Trang province. Visit Clay pagoda, khmer Musuem and Bat pagoda. Have lunch before rock and roll on beautiful back roads to Bac Lieu.

Day 3: Bac Lieu - Ca Mau (B/L) (180 km)
Visit the  house of former Prince of Bac Lieu's, whose parents were the richest people in the Mekong Delta region during the French Indochina time.  Named Tran Trinh Huy, the prince spent money like water, one time in his life was that he burned his money to cook sweet soup as to win his lover’s heart.  See this link:
It depends on riding time, if you were in Camau in the afernoon, then ride to Nam Can Dist, one of the big fishing villages in Mekong Delta. Right here, you could see the locals wearing gold as their toys. The cost of living over here is also very expensive. Ride back to Ca Mau city.

Day 4: Ca Mau - Rach Gia (B/L) (170 km)
In the morning, ride to Upper U - Minh forest, (it depends on weather condition, lever of water in mangrove forest) spend 1 1/2 hours by row boat to a mangrove forest: taste wild honey and observe thousand of bats, storks and birds over here. This is a special opportunity for you to eat ells, frogs, snakes and other wild birds and fish. After lunch, take a different back road to countryside of Camau. Then take left country roads to Rach Gia city via to Rach Soi town. Overnight in Rach Gia city.

Day 5: Rach Gia-Chau Doc (B/L) (140 km)
Take a public ferry in town to rural area, ride on rural road along a huge system of manmade canals to Nui Sap ( Sap Mountain)  Nui Sap ( Sap Mountain) then ride to Thoai Son where your guide could tell you about Oc-Eo civilization. After the visit, ride to Tri Ton. Visit the infamous Ba Chuc "killing fields". Continue your ride along Cambodia to Chau Doc via Tinh Bien border.

Day 6: Chau Doc-Cao Lanh (B/L) (100 km)
Chau Doc is located west of the Mekong Delta between upper and lower branches of Mekong River. The town is famous as the gateway between Vietnam to Cambodia.  Take a motorized boat for 1 hour to a floating village and Cham village. Visit a mosque and sarong workshop. Checkout of the hotel and bike to a ferry which will take us to Chau Giang Dist. Ride on dirt track to Cho Moi, pedal past Hoa Hao Buddhism holy temple, have lunch in Cho Moi. From this town, we will take a little ferry to the Island, and pedal to the Monastery, which was built 120 years ago by the French. The first monastery building site was established in 1874 in Indochina. Today's transportation will be 100% by bicycle: we will explore many islands and end up at Cao Lanh city. Overnight in Cao Lanh.

Day 7: Cao Lanh - Sai Gon (B/L) (150 km)
Ride on back roads and little track along the water to My Tho district, the small town about 25 km from Cao Lanh. Ride to Xeo Quyt base, where Viet Cong guide will take you into the Xeo Quyt mangrove forest by row boat. Lunch in Xeo Quyt restaurant. After lunch, ride to My An village then tale bak roads to Tan An town, Long An province.  Stay on old high 1A (40km) to Saigon> Tour End!
